Nurse-Led Clinics


Rheumatology Nurse Led clinics are provided by Dawn Homer - Rheumatology Nurse Consultant

The service will be supported by a range of allied health professionals such as nurses, GP with a special interest in rheumatology, academic rheumatologist,s GPs, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, podiatrists and psychological support staff. You will be offered an appointment in the nurse led clinic at the health centre nearest to where you live.

A confidential telephone helpline (answer phone) provides access to the team for expert advice about arthritis and treatments.

Why should I ring the helpline?

What if I need to see a doctor urgently?

If you are generally unwell and need urgent medical attention you are advised to see your general practitioner who can decide whether you should be seen at the community rheumatology clinic, by your rheumatologist or by another hospital specialist.
